Justin Curtis signs his letter of intent with the Battlers

After giving a verbal commitment earlier in the year to Alderson Broaddus, Justin Curtis made it official and has signed his letter of intent to play basketball for the Alderson Broaddus Battlers. Curtis is a versatile 6'4" wing player who can consistently knock down the mid-range jumper but whose size gives an impressive finisher at the rim when in transition. He also gives the Battlers a player that can slash from the wing in half-court sets. Justin played his high school basketball for Columbus East HS in Columbus, OH.

Justin caught the eye of the Battler coaching staff during his junior season. He put up big numbers against good competition. Curtis averaged 20.1 points per game as a junior. For his efforts, he was named to the 1st-team Ohio Central District for Division II and to the 3rd-team All-Ohio Division II team. Justin was also named to the 270 Hoops 1st-team Division II squad for the 2016-17 season.

During his senior season, Curtis averaged 18 points per game and was once again named to the 1st-team Ohio Central District team. He was also named to the 2018 AP All-Ohio Special Honorable Mention Division II team. Justin had ten games this past season where he scored 20 or more points in a game including a season-high 26 points against Beechcroft HS. His Columbus East HS team finished with a 14-7 record this past year. Battler fans can look for an immediate contribution from Justin as he can score from all three levels on the court.
