Today we preview 6'4" forward/wing Dalen Solomon of John Hay HS which is located in Cleveland, OH. Solomon took part in the Alderson Broaddus University Elite Camp held on Saturday, June 3. Solomon showed the versatility to play either the wing or forward during both individual and team drills. He was noted by Battler Beat in camp update #2 for having a nice reverse slam dunk. Solomon participated with the grey shirt team during all camp activities. This past season he put up 23 points for John Hay in a win over Young High School. We have linked his junior highlight video below. Dalen shows tremendous agility to go along with an incredible vertical. His tape shows a player that can do multiple things on offense. Solomon can hit the outside jumper or penetrate the basket from the outside. He is excellent on cuts to the basket when he doesn't have the basketball and finishes well off of these cuts. Dalen is an excellent player when filling the lanes on fast breaks and transition. His vertical gives him an edge against opposition when he takes the ball to the basket.
