Alderson Broaddus lands JUCO freshman Exzavier Cooper
Alderson Broaddus has signed 6'5"/200 pound freshman Exzavier Cooper from Harford Community College in Maryland. Cooper will have three years of eligibility for the Battlers. Cooper finished an impressive freshman season for the Fighting Owls. He averaged 14.3 ppg/8 rpg and shot 50.3% from the field. Cooper is a native of Rocky Mount, NC.
Exzavier Cooper seemed to really turn it on as the season rolled along for Harford. With more experience, he seemed to get better. Some of his stat lines in games were:
vs. Volunteer State CC - 20 points and 8 rebounds.
vs. Harcum CC - 20 points and 8 rebounds
vs. Chesapeake - 20 points and 17 rebounds
vs. Anne Arundel - 25 points and 11 rebounds
vs. Prince George's CC - 23 points and 15 rebounds
vs. CCBC Dundalk - 20 points and 14 rebounds
vs. Hagerstown CC - 22 points and 10 rebounds
vs. Baltimore City - 23 points and 5 rebounds
His performance in the CCBC Dundalk game occurred during the MD JUCO tournament. His performance against Hagerstown CC was in the championship game of the MD JUCO tournament. Harford was the 2015 MD JUCO tournament champions. His performance against Baltimore City was in the NJCAA Region XX Championship game. Cooper has the ability to play inside or outside in Greg Zimmerman's offense. We hope to catch up with Exzavier and his coach later this week.
