Battlers Land the 'Total Package Recruit'
Alderson Broaddus men's basketball team recently signed Tristen Wolfe of Southern High School located in Racine, OH. On the surface, it would appear that one could classify Wolfe as a 'total package' when it comes to recruiting. He brings both a solid basketball and academic record to the university.
First let's take a look at Wolfe's basketball credentials. He finished his senior year at Southern with the following stat line: 21.4 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, 2.4 steals per game and 2 block shots per game. With that type of performance, Wolfe was able to earn Ohio's District 13 Player of the Year honors. He earned three 1st-team all-district honors in his career at Southern. He also excelled in track and field in the events of high jump and long jump. He also was the football team's quarterback.
What is even more impressive about Tristen Wolfe is that he was Southern High School's Valedictorian after completing his high school academic career with a 4.425 grade point average. That is a tremendous accomplishment for any high school student but especially for someone who excelled in three sports. Wolfe plans on majoring in bio-chemistry at Alderson Broaddus and has plans on becoming an anesthesiologist upon graduation.
Battler Beat congratulates Tristen Wolfe on an outstanding academic and athletic career in high school. We welcome Tristen to the AB family!
